This is one of Pranav’s first photography projects called the Framing Project. Here he learned that what the four main types of views are in photography: Bird’s Eye, Worm’s Eye, Landscape View, and a Close-up View. This photo shows an example of a Close-Up View, showing details of the shoes logo, “Vans Off The Wall”.

Ultralight Beam.png

This is the second project the class did called the “Landscape Project” inspired by Ansel Adams. The project shows the zone system being used throughout the picture which is the different shades from black leading up to white. Click here to see the zone system. Pranav used the lasso tool in photoshop as well as content aware to remove all man made objects right before the pic was converted into black and white. He calls this one, “Ultralight Beam.”

Starboy

This is one of the third projects that Pranav did in photography. It was called the “Macro project and focused on close up pictures of certain objects. The picture above shows a picture of a star being used. Pranav calls this photo, “Starboy.”

Birds Eye Project Template (3).png

This picture above is another project Pranav worked on in class called the “Birds Eye Project.” The goal in the picture above is to show movement in one picture compared to the pictures on the side which show no movement. This was one of Pranav’s more challenging projects, and took him a while to understand the concept of this project. Pranav calls this photo, “Vintage Day Dreams.”

Filter 2.png

This picture is from one project that Pranav did called the “Macro Project.” The picture above is tend to confuse the audience to think it is a painting, but in reality it is a paper flower applied with a filter. The photo shows a close up of the flower. This is one of Pranav’s favorite photos taken by him. Pranav calls this photo, “Paintings.”

Peppers.png

The picture above is inspired by Edward Weston, a photographer known for working in the dark room. In the image, the pepper is kept in a dark space with minimal amounts of light, and when the picture was taken, the audience is able to see the contrast of different shades of white, grey, and black, and how everything else is blacked out while the camera focuses on the middle of the pepper. Pranav calls this image, “Bumpy Feels.”

Stars Falling.png

This is one of Pranav’s favorite photos that he edited in photoshop this year. This is from the Worms Eye project, where Pranav took one of his photos that he took in the daylight, and adjusted the saturation, exposure, etc. to make the photo look as if it was taken in the night. He also learned how to add artificial stars, and as the audience can see, the stars look very much realistic as well. Another object Pranav added was the ghost in the sky, and to make that ghost, he adjusted the opacity of another picture, copied and pasted it into the sky. He calls this one, “Stars falling.”

Gender Equality.png

This is from the portrait projects that Pranav recently did. The objective was to choose a current event going on in the world right now, and make a poster out of it using an image you took, and three images from google, and combining them together. Pranav chose the topic of Gender Equality, and the image above shows the gender equality flag, a man and woman holding hands, and many other hands can be seen at the bottom of the picture.

Looking Back In Time.png

This photo is also from the portrait project, where Pranav took a portrait of one of his classmates, and in the background he ended a picture of a flower, combining the two pictures together to make it look like one. You can see the different colors being used such as white, blue, and grey. He calls this one, “Looking back in time.”

IMG_2317.png

This is a raw image Pranav took from in the Portrait project. Pranav used no edits whatsoever in this pic, leaving it the way he took the pic. The person in the picture is looking directly at the camera lens even though she has a book in her hand to create a question in the audiences mind such as, “What distracted her from reading the book?” This is one of Pranav’s personal favorites as he calls it, “Mysterious Readings.”

landscape portrait

This is another picture taken from the Portrait project, where Pranav took an old landscape photo, and combined it with a portrait. This in other words was known as the landscape portrait. Pranav calls this photo, “A memory.”
